NEW WORLD PROPHECY - FAQ
Release date:
2006-04-01 Recorded and mixed at Reclab by Johan "Goomba" Nilsson. Mastered at Cutting Room by Håkan Åkesson.
Lineup: What's the lyrics about? We have always wanted to do a "theme-ambum" with one story through out a whole album, and when Martin and myself started to write the songs for it, it felt inspiring to try to do our debute special in that way. Therefore, all songs are written as one story. The lyrics are about the coming future, when oil and and other natural resources are running out that we are dependent on. It will be a tremendous challenge for mankind, and we will probably see this in our lifetime. The story is just fictional, but the messages througout the album is very real. Will coming albums also be "themes"? We have not yet discussed that issue. When the recordings for NWP were finished, we said that it was very hard to do it lyrically, with quality and not "cheesy". We are very happy it turned out the way it did lyrically, but as it feels this very moment, we have no plans for making NWP II. If we ever again will have one concept througout an album, we will probably do another story. Maybe not about humanity as NWP, probably more psycologial "introvert" stories, but that is just plans. Nothing written or planned at the moment. What are those "strange" instruments appearing in Encircled, Once & Rising new nation? The following instruments were all played by Stefan Isebring (ex. Spiritual beggars). In "Encircled" (mid-section) he used something called "Psalmodicon", an old antique string instrument formally used in churches on masses. In "Once", he used one "hurdygurdy" for the background and added also one "keyed fiddle" (an old scandinavian instrument) for the melodic part. In "Rising new nation" (acoustic-part) he used also the "keyed fiddle". Are the recordingsession documented on video or photos etc? Yes. We have videotapes from the complete process. It's three or four hours in total, so we have material for a documentary that we soon will edit and release on this site. Who made the coverillustration and booklet design? The total design for NWP were made by Mattias Kindefors at IMK design. Were are the album recorded and pressed? The recording took place at our own studio "Reclab" that we at the time owned together with Johan "Goomba" Nilsson who engineered/co-produced NWP. It is later mastered at Cutting Room by Håkan Åkesson. Pressed at Sony Austria.
